How to get to Birds Island from Puerto Madryn?<\/h2>[vc_column_text]The Bird Island Reserve<\/strong><\/a> is located on Route 2 after entering the Valdes Peninsula<\/strong><\/a>. A 7 km from the booths where you paid the entrance, there is a roundabout. The first access is to the Visitor Center. A museum can take a screenshot of the region and see an amazing and complete skeleton of a southern right whale<\/a><\/strong>. By continuing the roundabout follow the route to Puerto Piramides<\/strong>, 17.3 mi<\/strong>\u00a0( 28km )<\/em> later and the rest of the Valdes Peninsula<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The third output and the last is access, leading to a well-maintained 3.1 mi<\/strong>\u00a0( 5 km) gravel road to the\u00a0Bird Island Reserve<\/strong>. If you continue the circle, the roundabout comes back to Puerto Madryn<\/strong><\/a>, Trelew<\/strong> or Route 3<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

From Puerto Madryn<\/strong> are about 44 mi<\/strong>\u00a0( 71 km )<\/em>. Driving on gravel involves not going more than 37 mph<\/strong>\u00a0(60 km \/ h )<\/em> and not touching the brake when cornering. Inside Peninsula Valdes<\/strong>, there is no internet sign, except near Puerto Piramides<\/strong><\/a>.
