The tail<\/strong> or caudal fin<\/strong> of the southern right whale<\/strong><\/a> possesses one of the most powerful natural forces of the animal kingdom. He shows this in every jump he takes, by taking 3\/4 of his body out of the water of more than 40 tons. The caudal fin is formed by a fibrous tissue that is joined to the body by the caudal peduncle formed by powerful muscles. The tail of the adult whales<\/strong> reaches a wingspan (width) of 5 meters.<\/p>\n

Many times in the sightings one sees them with the tail outside, without making force. They stand vertically and pull out the tail, they can float in that position for hours. He comes out to breathe every few minutes and returns to the same position a moment later.
