“We have been whale-watching twice in Puerto Pirámides on the Valdés Peninsula. Puerto Pirámides is a small place, but from there lots of whale-watching trips take place from small boats, Zodiacs and bigger boats: these tend to be full of visitors coming from Puerto Madryn for the day. In our experience it is advisable to stay a couple of nights in Puerto Pirámides, so if the weather isn’t very good, you get a better chance of going out. Also you can go out on smaller boats once others have left for the day. We hugely enjoyed one of the sunset trips.”
